I needed to hide the previous entry. It seems so outdated. And I think some people would have wanted me to somehow hide that.
So I thought of writing this entry.
My life right now is a little dull. Exams have just started here in NTU. Actually, I had my first paper earlier today (the module was MS2002 - Introduction to Manufacturing Processes). But I don't want to talk about it. I don't want to remember how stupid I was. It wasn't really hard. I was just careless and plain stupid. Hopefully I can get a B for it (an A would be miraculous).
Anyway, I have another thing to share. One day, I was browsing through the Philippine Daily Inquirer website. Then I read this article about a certain list that the Philippine military has released. This list contains the names of organizations which allegedly have links to the New People's Army or NPA, which is a communist rebel group in the Philippines. When I think about NPA, I get scared. That's how strong they are. I was quite shocked that some innocent-sounding organizations have been included in the list. As I was about to end reading the article, something in the article shocked me. The church where I am a baptized and confirmed member, the United Church of Christ in the Philippines, was included in the list! I couldn't believe what I saw! As what I read, those organizations which were listed are suspected of supporting the NPA in planning a revolution which aims to topple the current government and create a new government. Scary huh?! But why involve a church! And the worse thing about it was that the National Council of Churches in the Philippines, the umbrella organization of almost all Protestant Christian churches in the Philippines, was also included! Even the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines didn't escape the military's suspecting eyes. What was the military thinking? They didn't even mention of any solid evidence that supported these allegations. I tried to Google some more facts about these accusations and then I found this. Indeed our church, along with other churches, wanted to help the NPA and the Communist Party of the Philippines. But we never wanted to support some revolution which I think will hurt many people! We just wanted the Philippine government and the NPA/CPP/NDFP to reconcile through a peaceful process. So what's so bad about promoting peace huh? Who would not want peace to reign in this world? I'm just.. ARGHH.. I really hate to think that one's sign of help can be maliciously seen by others as a sign of something suspicious. But I won't talk about it further. I would just leave everything to God and let Him be the judge. For me, I just want the military to be more careful about their accusations.
In a lighter note, I'll be doing my Industrial Attachment next semester! I'm quite excited now. For my first choice, I applied for a failure-anaysis-related project in HP Singapore. Hopefully HP will accept me. But the interview is still in May (I'm not even sure if HP will interview me). So I'm keeping my fingers crossed! (Ouch. That hurt :P)
I have this crazy idea of writing a whole entry in my native language Cebuano. Perhaps I'll do it next time. But don't worry. I would just write senseless stuff so those who can't understand Cebuano won't have to try deciphering every word I'll say :P It's just for fun. Hehehe. But for now, I have to focus on the coming papers.
That's all folks!
But before I go...
Here's something you should know:
Britney Spears is pregnant
Haha! That was just random. But it's true, she's pregnant.
So that's it. No more unnecessary info from me :P
Bye!
